Set among rolling green hills, the house is a stone’s throw away from local amenities, allowing you to walk through the beautiful village of Rothbury to shops, cafes, and community services.
We have a variety of purpose-built suites available, each designed to give you the privacy you need to live an independent life whilst benefitting from being a member of our tight-knit community.

Spend evenings basking in the sunset from our landscaped gardens, sun houses, or our tastefully decorated communal living room. Enjoy coffee mornings with our friendly residential community, or walk into Rothbury village and explore the local amenities on your doorstep.
However you choose to spend your time, you will be free to enjoy every day without the burden of day-to-day matters, such as unexpected bills or building maintenance, as everything else is taken care of by our friendly and welcoming staff.

We know moving into a new home can be a big prospect, which is why our priority is to ensure you feel comfortable, safe and supported throughout the process and whilst living at Rothbury House. Our friendly staff are available 24 hours a day, to answer any questions you might have, and to help in any way they can.
There is also an accessible lift to every floor, handrails throughout the buildings, and all our suites are equipped with a stylish and modern modified ensuite wet-room.
Living Spaces
We have single and double suites available, all of which are ensuite and include a small kitchen area with fridge and microwave.
All suites are generously proportioned and thoughtfully designed, and many feature sweeping panoramic views across our picturesque landscaped grounds.
With a welcoming bar area, and cosy entertainment room, our communal areas are tastefully decorated and are available to all residents at Rothbury House to use at their will.

As well as ensuring you have everything you need to live a content and tranquil retirement, each of our suites has an Alexa View, which can be used to contact family members or reception, to ask questions and check menus, or to find out more information about the beautiful local area.

We have staff available 24 hours a day, Amazon Alexa devices in all our suites to help you stay in contact with friends and loved ones, accessibility lifts and handrails throughout the building, and a vibrant community within both Rothbury House and the surrounding area that you are free to enjoy at your leisure.
Rothbury House is also located in the heart of Rothbury village, and many local amenities including the doctor’s surgery, pharmacy, and welcoming local cafes are all within walking distance of our front door.
Rothbury is well connected by public transport to both Alnwick and nearby city Newcastle should you want a day out to explore the North East and local areas.
Our experience visits include the opportunity to stay in one of our beautiful suites, and to sample our delicious food cooked by our highly trained kitchen staff.

If it’s the location for you, you will then be asked to fill in an application form and to provide proof of service. Our team will support you throughout this process, and ensure you have all the information you need.
