Our retirement accommodation is nestled in beautiful countryside in the heart of southern Scotland, within the popular tourist town of Moffat. Boasting regular live music, a theatre, museum and shops, ensuring it has a busy events calendar. Dowding House offers good access to all of the town’s amenities, including a nearby golf course.

We have an active tenants social club which offers a wide range of activities to suit all tastes and for the ramblers among you, footpaths starting on the edge of town will lead you into breathtaking scenery.
Visitors to the Grey Mare’s Tail nature reserve, about a 20-minute drive from Moffat, are rewarded by a show-stopping waterfall and the chance to spot ospreys, ring ouzels, nesting peregrine falcons and wild goats.
