From iconic landmarks to coastal vistas, completing the famous Great North Run is really something to celebrate. When you take part in the 13.1 mile race, which is broadcast live on the BBC, you’ll be joining 60,000 runners on a stunning course.

This exhilarating run starts in Newcastle upon Tyne and passes some amazing sights including the iconic Tyne Bridge and the South Shields coast.

We’re right behind you from day one.

Whether this is your first half marathon or your 40th, we’ll be right with you from the moment you sign up, to help you get ready to run and to raise as much as you can. With the support of our fundraising team, you can wear the RAF Association colours and take on this epic run.

This event involves a high degree of physical exertion. On the event day you will need to be sufficiently fit and healthy to participate in the event unaided. If you are in any doubt we recommend that you seek medical advice.
