As an Association we understand that many of our supporters and participants are serving personnel. As a result we have a flexible approach to our challenge event registrations.
In events where we offer an in-person and virtual ticket, such as RAFA Rides, participants who cannot attend the in-person event will be offered the following options:
(1) To change that ticket to virtual attendance where appropriate, and request a refund of the ticket price difference, or request that this is given as a donation to the Association.
(2) To defer their in-person ticket, where appropriate, to the following year.
In events where there is no virtual offering, such as Wing Walking, we will encourage all participants to defer their booking to the next event. If this isn’t possible, we will honour refunds on your booking fee as set out below. To receive a full refund, your registration must be cancelled up to two months before the event.
If you cancel within two months of the event we will give you a refund less an administrative fee to support the costs we have incurred in organising the event or you can defer your booking to another year or transfer it towards another event.
If you cancel the week of the event (i.e. within seven days) we regret that we can not offer you a refund but we will offer you the opportunity to defer your booking to another year or transfer it towards another event.

Please note, we cannot offer refunds on donations received through fundraising platforms such as JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving without the donors’ permission. Each of the donors needs to request their refund with the date and details of their donation, by email to [email protected] who will then work with the fundraising platform to issue this donation. Where possible we would love for you to encourage your participants to still consider donating this money to the Association to support our vital work.
