What is the Search and Rescue challenge?
Ever wondered if you have what it takes to complete an RAF search and rescue mission? If so, this is the challenge for you.
Join us to take on our Search and Rescue challenge and be immersed in an exhilarating outdoor experience.
Throughout this two-day event, you and your fellow teammates will face a series of physical and mental challenges. To achieve your mission, our highly-trained instructors will encourage and empower you to take on activities specifically designed to take you outside your comfort zone. Before you know it, you’ll be overcoming fears and achieving more than you believed possible. You don’t have to be fighting fit or as strong as an ox to take part – a positive attitude and a good sense of humour are far more important.
Activities include scrambling up mountains and along rivers, abseiling, navigating through caves and waterfall and gorge jumping. You will spend your evenings camping under the stars and sharing food and stories around the camp fire with your teammates.
This is a unique and exclusive opportunity to make memories, explore your own physical and mental wellbeing and test your limits, whilst making a difference to the members of the community that need your help. You’ll be supported throughout by RAF personnel, veterans and RAF Association staff.
