The anniversary of the Battle of Britain gives us an opportunity to remember one of the most defining moments in British history.
Between July and October 1940, the RAF defended Britain against sustained attacks from the German Luftwaffe. Outnumbered and under immense pressure, RAF pilots, ground crews and support personnel worked tirelessly to protect the country.
Their courage and sacrifice helped prevent invasion and changed the course of the Second World War. It was this campaign that inspired Winston Churchill’s famous words: “Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.”
If you’re looking to commemorate the Battle of Britain and pay tribute to veterans and serving personnel who continue to protect our freedom, the RAF Association’s Battle of Britain range has something for everyone.
