For the past six months the RAF Association have been supporting an individual who has been coping with an inadequate housing situation which has affected both their health and their finances.
While discussions continue between the local authority and the landlord, regular casework support has played a vital role.
A caseworker has provided weekly check‑ins and offered reassurance during a period of uncertainty. The wider team has remained involved, carrying out welfare check‑ins and providing practical support such as food vouchers and a clothing grant to help ease immediate pressures.
Support remains ongoing with emotional, practical and holistic care continuing to be a priority while the Association supports the individual through the next stage.
"The support I've received over the past few months has made a huge difference. The team have been there for me during some very difficult moments, checking in regularly, offering reassurance and signposting me to other sources of help. More than anything, their kindness and understanding have been invaluable. They are a real credit to the RAF Association and I'm incredibly grateful for the support they provide." – Beneficiary
