Babcock International Group (Babcock) and Lone Star Analysis Ltd have pledged their support for the RAF Association’s annual global cycling event, RAFA Rides, as silver sponsors.
Babcock’s partnership with the Association began in 2023 when staff took part in the charity’s outreach campaign. Babcock employees have also supported the Association with the transition of new RAFAKidz nurseries at MoD Abbey Wood and RAF Valley, Cosford, Wittering and Wyton.
The FTSE 100 defence company has expanded its support by becoming a silver sponsor for RAFA Rides 2025.
Chloe Barker, Managing Director for Babcock’s UK Aviation business, said: “Sport plays a vital role in the RAF community, not just in maintaining physical fitness, but in building resilience, camaraderie, and wellbeing. Supporting events like this helps us give back to those who serve, and their families, by promoting connection and continued support both during and after service.
“We’re looking forward to getting on our bikes and taking part in this worthy cause. We’re incredibly proud to support the Association as a silver sponsor, supporting RAFA Rides.”
Lone Star Analysis Ltd is a provider of applied decision intelligence and engineering solutions. This will be the second year that the company has supported RAFA Rides as a silver sponsor.
Robin Adlam, Managing Director at Lone Star Analysis Ltd, said: “Lone Star is very pleased to be able to support this year’s RAFA Rides, which seems to go from strength to strength. Last year really highlighted the global aspect of the Association’s commitment, which resonated with Lone Star as an international company.
“This year, we see the team has excelled again with multiple UK locations to showcase the Association and its commitment to the RAF community. We will be riding as a Lone Star team at the Kendrew Barracks event on 14 June and look forward to joining the many other riders on what will be a fun, and hopefully dry, ride out.”
Cate Driscoll, Head of Partnerships & Events at the RAF Association, said “We’re delighted to have the support of Babcock and Lone Star Analysis Ltd. RAFA Rides brings together a global community of cyclists who share a common cause – supporting serving RAF personnel, veterans and their families. Babcock and Lone Star Analysis Ltd UK are integral to that mission to grow that community and make RAFA Rides 2025 the biggest ever.”
