Lois and her family
Lois O’Connor
After being deferred entry for the last three years, Lois is running with a whole new purpose this year. When Lois’ baby, Flynn, needed life saving surgery as soon as he was born, her family needed financial help ensuring they could still be by Flynn’s side at the neonatal intensive care unit, whilst also taking care of their 18-month-old son, Lando. The RAF Association provided emergency financial assistance to help the couple pay for essentials such as food and hospital parking, whilst the team at RAFAKidz Digby, Lando’s nursery, also stepped up to help. Read more of Lois’s story here.
Margaret Barret
London will be Margaret’s sixth World Major as she takes part this year raising donations for the RAF community. She has also recently completed her 300th ultra marathon at the beginning of April.
