As we approach four weeks until RAFA Rides, our annual cycling fundraising event, we wanted to take a minute to celebrate one of our supporters.

We’d like to thank Lockheed Martin UK, whose support has ensured that our event was able to succeed.

Kelv Truss, Head of Strategic Engagement (Air) for Lockheed Martin UK is joining us this year in our challenge to cycle around the world.

Speaking of the event on 4 and 5 June, he said:

“I am delighted to be taking part in this year’s RAFA Rides. Throughout my 40 year association with the RAF I have been aware of the outstanding work done by the RAF Association in support of RAF personnel and their extended families. RAFA Rides widens awareness of that work and creates the opportunity for people to lend their support through commitment to what should be an enjoyable and healthy event.

“I am equally pleased that Lockheed Martin UK has been able to continue their support for the RAFA Rides initiative, demonstrating their continuing commitment to the RAF community. Having my employer as the lead sponsor helps keep the pressure on me to prepare adequately for the ride so I don’t let the side down on the day, as if losing the unwelcome ‘lockdown pounds’ isn’t incentive enough! Good luck to all those involved in RAFA Rides, and kudos to RAF for all their work.”
