Norman Conquest tells of ambassador’s love for aviation
RAF Association Ambassador and aviation enthusiast, Vic Norman, has released his memoir, Norman Conquest.
Vic started his life-long passion for all things mechanical from an early age, taking the lawnmower to pieces and working out how to get it going again. A go-kart started his love of racing and he went on to own a variety of vintage and modern cars, and motorbikes. Vic started flying on his 17th birthday and has become one of the UK’s most experienced display pilots. As well as being an Association Ambassador, he is a Display Aviation Examiner for the Civil Aviation Authority and an Honorary Air Commodore of 614 County of Glamorgan Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force.
Norman Conquest covers everything from his early life, to his international adventures with his AeroSuperBatics wing walking team and his current support of the RAF Association.
Norman Conquest includes:
- The full story of Vic’s early life, including water-skiing with Stirling Moss and Donald Campbell on the Riviera
- The story behind establishing the famous AeroSuperBatics wing walking team, setting wing-walking world records and wowing audiences around the world with amazing air displays
- Vic’s experiences flying with the Red Arrows
Speaking of his support for the Association, Vic said:
“It is difficult to put into words how proud I am to be an Ambassador, I have such huge respect for the Royal Air Force and the people serving whether now or in the past.”
Profits from books sold by RAFA shop will be donated to the RAF Association.
