Looking for a new challenge for 2021? Do you like to feel the wind in your hair? Do you have a healthy disregard for conventional ways to travel? Then wing walking is for you!
Sign up for our amazing wing walking day and you will have an experience like no other. Spend the day with the world famous AeroSuperBatics Wing Walking display team at their home base, RFC Rendcomb Airfield, in the heart of the Cotswolds.
After a thorough safety briefing, you will be taken up onto the top wing of a glorious 1940s Boeing Stearman biplane and strapped securely into your harness. The display pilot will start the engine and before you know it you’ll be waving from the wing during an exhilarating series of flypasts, zoom climbs, dives and banking turns.
Anthony O’Reilly of Leicestershire took to the air in 2020. When asked why he’d signed up, he said:
“I’m a huge adrenaline junkie. Having completed a tandem bungee jump in the past I wanted to tick off another thing on my bucket list. I heard about wing walking through someone who works for the Association and couldn’t let the opportunity pass!
“Wing walking with the RAF Association meant that not only was I fulfilling a lifelong dream, but I knew that I was helping the most vulnerable members of the RAF community who need support. That gave me the motivation to drum up as much as I could when it came to fundraising.
“I knew it would be a great experience, but I can honestly say it was incredible! I still can’t get over the buzz of being strapped to an aircraft!”
Anthony raised £650 for the Association, mostly online:
“Social media was really helpful. I found that LinkedIn worked the best for me, as my colleagues could read about all of the brilliant work the RAF Association does, as well as donate on my JustGiving page.”
