Members of the RAF family will benefit, thanks to the Leicester Curry Awards! The Royal Air Forces Association has been chosen as one of two charity partners for the 2020 event.
The prestigious annual gala dinner celebrates Leicester’s vibrant Asian culture and the culinary craftsmanship that goes into making the city one of the UK’s most prized curry destinations. The awards celebrate this rich heritage, highlighting the finest examples of Asian cuisine and praising the restaurateurs dedicated to serving up our beloved curries.
Local businessman Romail Gulzar and founder of the awards said: “Here at the Leicester Curry Awards, we are extremely passionate about giving something back to the community, which is why every year since 2017, we have raised awareness of two local causes and spread the word about the incredible work that they continue to do. That said, we are thrilled to announce that our first charity partner is the Royal Air Forces Association.”
Rachel Huxford, Director of Marketing, Fundraising and Trading at the Association, said: “The RAF Association was thrilled to be chosen as a charity partner of the Leicester Curry Awards. None of our work would be possible without support like this. It will help us continue to be there for members of the RAF family when they need us. We are grateful to our Leicester Branch for nominating us.”
