RAF personnel serving away from their families this Christmas will receive gift hampers from the Royal Air Forces Association based in Leicester.

The charity that supports the wellbeing of RAF veterans, serving personnel and their dependants, is sending the boxes to 484 personnel across the UK to help combat loneliness and spread festive cheer.

Rory O’Connor, Director of Welfare and Policy for the RAF Association, said: “We are working with RAF stations to let service personnel on operational duty in the UK at Christmas know that they’re not forgotten.

“We have also sent a number of boxes to British personnel in the USA to let them know they are in our thoughts.”
